Pro-active and timely advice
Bromley debt recovery solicitors are pro-active in their approach and aim to recover debts as quickly as possible and keep you advised on the progress of your case and consult you on your preferred approaches at all stages.
Simple debt recovery
Debts come in all shapes in sizes. For relatively simple debts, where the debtor refuses to pay and there is no dispute involved, we will be happy to offer our services at fixed, affordable rates.
In our experience, letters from solicitors tend to force a response from the debtors as most people are not found of the prospect of litigation. There are other tools at our disposal too, such as statutory demands which strong, formal requests for the debt to be repaid and are allowed for by statutory law.
Cases involving litigation
Where debts are disputed, it may prove impossible to avoid litigation through the county courts or even high courts if the debt is exceptionally large. Depending on the complexity of the dispute, we may be able to offer our advice on a no win no fee basis (under what is formally known as a conditional fee agreement) or on a fixed fee basis. Please get in touch to arrange your initial consultation and get a quote.
Bankruptcy proceedings
Where statutory demands are used, it is essential that bankruptcy proceedings are used in the event the demand is not responded to. Bear in mind that statutory demands will only be used for debts over £750 as this is the minimum limit required for bankruptcy proceedings.
Tailored to your requirements
We understand that every client is different and we will fully consider your case and listen to your preferred approaches. Whilst a firm approach maybe suitable for a particularly difficult debtor, we are flexible and will use softer methods and even alternate dispute resolution (mediation and arbitration) where you wish to preserve an otherwise amicable relationship you share with the debtor.
